A delayed blog is eventually good, a bad blog is bad forever.

The title of this post is a modified quote from legendary game designer, Shigeru Miyamoto, who you may know as the creator of the Mario and Legend of Zelda franchises. The original quote, as he famously said it, goes as follows: "A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever." The same principle applies to this blog, and I think it's time I revived it and started posting more actively. I thought I would take this opportunity to update any who might be reading this on where I've been, what I'm doing now, and what to expect going forward. First of all, the reason for my failure to post since last July are very personal. I don't think I should talk about exactly what it was on this blog, but it affected my life very negatively, and was a problem for long enough to keep me away from game development altogether. So, it's time to start this whole game dev blogging thing

First post, woooo! Hi, folks! I'm Kevin! From the first time I ever held a controller, all the way up to the present, I've had a passion for video games. I also love programming, and have a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science. Now, I'm setting out on a journey to achieve a dream I've had for years: to work in the video game industry as a gameplay programmer. But, like most dreams, this is not achieved overnight. I need to develop a portfolio to get noticed in this industry. That is the purpose of this blog. Here, I will keep a record of my projects currently in development, and links to where you can play the games in my portfolio, once completed. I plan to post updates at least once a week. More frequent, if possible. Keep an eye out, and subscribe to be notified of updates on my journey into the world of game development!

I HAVE RETURNED!!! Why I've been quiet these past couple weeks, and an update on my next project

Yeah, I know. I said I would update at least once a week. Then Alien Pixels From Outer Space released, and no updates after that until now. The reason for this is that there just hasn't been much of note to talk about since then. I kind of took a break due to fatigue after the last push to get the game out. Well, I'm back to it, and about to start my next project. Sorry about not communicating that I was taking a break. I'm still a bit new to the whole blogging thing, and honestly forgot about it for a couple weeks. I'll make a better effort to keep you guys updated in the future. My next project is based on something I made during a Ludum Dare in the Spring of 2017. I worked hard on it, but ended up with something that was really incomplete. The collision detection was terrible. It was either non-existent or objects were getting stuck on each other.
